Teaching

University Instruction

My teaching is driven by a desire to actively think alongside university students as intellectual co-conspirators. This desire is guided by a grounding in rhetorical theory, critical/cultural theory, accessibility, and community engagement.

Adult Education/Professional Training

I approach adult learners as collaborators in a shared educational project– my job is to help facilitate their goals. Particularly in a professional training scenario, learners have a concrete and practical set of agendas that need to be fulfilled. Helping them find room for personal fulfillment and intellectual curiosity within those constraints is a joy!

Anti-Racist Policy Training

Not “bias training.”
Not “DEI training.”

My anti-racist policy training curriculum is focused explicitly on taking actions to dismantle the institutional/organizational structures that all but ensure racist outcomes regardless of the policy-makers’ biases, feelings, or intentions. These training courses turn participants into agents of anti-racist action.
